Quark From Deep Space Nine Takes a Shower With Don Draper’s Dentist to Promote The Crucible [Video]

Recommended Videos

Unless you live in Los Angeles this video probably won’t entice you to see The Antaeus Theater Company’s production of The Crucible, but it’s funny enough to be worth watching anyway. It stars the shows directors, who happen to be Armin Shimerman and Goeffrey Wade. Shimerman played Quark on Deep Space Nine and Wade had his hands in Jon Hamm’s mouth once.

Shimerman is also known for playing the principal in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Wade had his hands in Jon Hamm’s mouth as the dentist in the Mad Men episode “Hot Tooth.” The video takes a humorous look at staging a production with two directors, and plays on the relationship Shimerman and Wade have developed. That relationship involves doing things together that close coworkers do — like showering.

There’s actually as much geek cred behind the camera on this video as there is in front of it. The video was produced by Gabe Diani and Etta Devine, who are also responsible for the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn: Robotic Edition being a thing that exists, and they also made the movie The Selling where Diani plays a realtor trying to sell a haunted house.

Diani and Devine are members of the Antaeus Company’s A2 ensemble, and have not only worked with Shimerman for this video, but they also talked him into joining Twitter and set up his account for him.
