RiffTrax is bringing the riffing back to where it all began with the Sharknado edition of RiffTrax live. They’re taking the show to the State Theater in Minneapolis where Mystery Science Theater 3000 was born 25 years ago. If you can’t make it to the theater, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to catch it in movie theaters throughout the US and Canada.
Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy Sharknado live from RiffTrax:
“We’re going to need a BIGGER theater!”
After 10 successful RiffTrax Live events from Starship Troopers to Night of the Living Dead, we are taking on the biggest Disaster Film/Film Disaster of all time: Sharknado! and we are going to need our largest venue to date!
On July 10th, the comedians, writers, actors, voice actors, puppeteers, host and stars of Mystery Science Theater 3000: Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett will be performing LIVE at the State Theater in the heart of Minneapolis, birthplace to MST3K 25 years ago.
RiffTrax Live: Sharknado combines a live performance, stand-up comedy concert with the silver screen presentation of the film. This awesomeness will be beamed LIVE via satellite to 700+ theaters nationwide and across Canada for fans to enjoy simultaneously.
If you’re outside the Minneapolis area, tickets for the simulcast screenings and delayed tape showings will be available from Fathom Events starting May 2. For the State Theater, tickets go on sale May 5, but Kickstarter backers for the previous RiffTrax Live event will get to buy early.
Get your reminders set so you can buy your tickets early. Whirling, shark-themed hilarity and death waits for no one.
