Bring out Your Best Joffrey Baratheon Jokes Because Today Is Roast the King Day

Somebody needs a slap.

If Roast the King Day were a real thing in the seven kingdoms of Westeros, then we would all surely be in big trouble for calling out the boy king Lannister. Hell, we’d probably get flogged just for calling him a Lannister and disrespecting his claim to the Iron Throne. Good thing he’s not real and we can taunt him all we like, thanks to HBO’s clever social media campaign.

Using the hashtag #RoastJoffrey on Twitter, fans of Game of Thrones have been tweeting out their best insulting jokes all day long, and the official Game of Thrones Twitter account has reposted some of the best ones — complete with response GIFs of Joffrey getting slapped or hit in the head with manure.

That’s Esmé Bianco, the actress who played Ros. Miss you, girl.

Heck, even some brand Twitters were getting in on the fun.

The official Tumblr has been putting up some amazing fan art of Joffrey as well, including this great one from Bamboota on Redbubble that depicts the king as the target on a Stark-comissioned shooting practice board:

joff

It’s not too late to come up with your own jokes, of course, so hop to Twitter and have at it! Someone should show the “rightful king of the Andals” what’s what before the real rightful ruler throws her dragons at him. Yeah, we said it! Daenerys Targaryen 4 LYFE.
