Sexual Congress Plays Hot Or Not With American Representatives

From the people who brought you the Star Wars Weather Forecast, it’s Sexual Congress, a website that asks users to decide which of a pair of federal representatives is more attractive, and then ranks Senators and Congresspersons accordingly.
I’m sure you can guess what we’re fixating on…
The statistics, man! The statistics!
The site ranks representatives separately by gender:
Women get far more votes than men, so the tables are separated to avoid any unfairness.
Martin Heinrich, Democratic Representative from New Mexico, currently reigns over the men, coming up as the winner in 90% of his matches. Mary Bono Mack, Republican Representative from California, is apparently the most attractive woman in Congress, winning 95% of her pairings.
The site also keeps track of how often Republicans win over Democrats in pairings, and vice versa, to see if there is a discrepancy in attractiveness between the parties. At this point, there appears to be no relationship between the two:
In matches between Democrats and Republicans, Democrats win 50% while Republicans win 50%.
It just goes to show that you can’t judge a political ideology by its fleshy cover.
