The subtextual hints of dinosaur-battling in Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes series are finally getting their proper due on the big (straight to DVD) screen in a new Sherlock Holmes movie. The Asylum, which brought us the cult classic Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, is bringing us Sherlock Holmes. In the trailer below, Holmes battles:

- A giant squid/octopus/Cthulu (possibly left over from Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus?)
- A winged reptile that breathes fire (possibly the pterodactyl? unclear.)
According to Wired, there’s also a fight with a “homicidal steampunk droid” somewhere in the mix. So: yeah.
