Rainstorm Turns Stairwell into a Waterfall

Yesterday, Tokyo was hit hard by Tropical Storm Malou, which reportedly poured a record four inches of rain per hour on some parts of the city. The offices of ad agency W+K Tokyo were so drenched that their stairwell turned into a waterfall.
Yesterday’s typhoon created an unexpected water feature at W+K Tokyo. The waterfall was entertaining at first … until we realized it wasn’t stopping, and the drains weren’t working.

Being an ad agency, they promptly mocked up a (quite Japanese) mock ad:

They’re currently between offices as they replace the cabling and downstairs floors, but at least they were able to capture this surreal moment and image on film.
