The Steam Summer Sale is back for day 2, and showing off some pretty killer deals on games in a wide variety of genres. Max Payne 3, Payday: The Heist, and the Tribes Ascend starter pack hold down shooter territory, From Dust and Anno 2070 are reppin’ for strategy, Space Marine fills the action hole, Indie Bundle II is your daily grab bag, The Binding of Isaac is for the masochists, and Sonic Generations is for the real masochists.
Here are all the prices for today’s daily deals.
- Max Payne 3 : $29.99
- Space Marine : $7.49
- The Binding of Isaac : $1.24
- Tribes Ascend starter pack : $4.99
- Anno 2070 : $24.99
- From Dust $3.74
- Sonic Generations : $10.19
- Payday: The Heist : $4.99
- Indie Bundle II : $9.99
If you’re at all into rougelikes or are a fan of Super Meat Boy, I cannot recommend The Binding of Isaac highly enough, especially at the low, low price of $1.24. Randomly-generated levels and item drops along with insane difficulty make for a ridiculous amount of replayability. Just don’t expect to be able to “win.” Oh, and it’s extremely heretical, just a heads up in case you’re bothered by that sort of thing.
As always, it’s important to stress the Steam Sale Strategy: If you see something on sale, but it’s not a daily deal, don’t buy it until the last day of the sale. The price is bound to go down. If you don’t mind spending a few extra bucks to get something sooner, however, pick it up whenever you want. In the meantime, pick up your games of choice, and sit tight to see what tomorrow brings.
