The sixth annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition took place this past weekend in Imperial Beach, California. Each dog had ten minutes to catch his or her best two waves, and was judged under the harshest of microscopes, being scored in categories like confidence level, length of ride and their overall ability to “grip it and rip it.” The winners, listed below, won their very own pet vacation at the resort. The resort doesn’t hold the competition solely to produce adorable Internet videos; the competition has become a successful fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, with this year’s event helping DonorsChoose.org, which allows public school teachers to post classroom needs and project requests for individual donors to choose from and sponsor.
