Rumor: Tiger Woods Cigar Guy Is Actually Sacha Baron Cohen In Disguise

We still don’t know the identity of the cigar-chomping guy with a mustache whose face launched a thousand Photoshop spoofs after he was spotted incongruously watching Tiger Woods whack a golf ball into a camera at the Ryder Cup. A new photo taken from a different angle (above) shows that his supposed ‘turban’ is actually a red ponytail wig, though, (h/t Urlesque) which some see as furthering the theory that Cigar Guy is in costume to honor/poke fun at Spanish golfer Miguel Angel Jimenez.

But now, there’s a new theory kicking around about Cigar Guy’s identity: He’s actually comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, of Ali G/Borat fame, hard at work on a new, sports-obsessed character named Afzal, a “muslim pansexual transvestite sports professional.”

Buzz Aldrin Gearing Up For Dancing with the Stars

We are excited and mildly baffled that Buzz Aldrin — you know, the second man on the Moon, is going to appear on Dancing with the Stars this season. Aldrin is generally a pretty good sport about media appearances: He went on Sesame Street a few years ago to explain that no, the moon is not made of cookie,  and he was one of the most memorable guests on Da Ali G Show, where he very patiently explained that no, he did not walk on the sun. (Difference being that he thought the latter interview was real.) But: an 80-year-old former astronaut on Dancing with the Stars?

Aldrin recently spoke to Space.com about the reality show, and it sounds like he’s getting pretty serious about it:

Borat Booted from Oscars for Fear of Offending James Cameron

Sacha Baron Cohen, the shapeshifting comedic provocateur behind Borat, Ali G, and Brüno, has been totally cut from the Oscar telecast because producers were afraid his skit might bother James Cameron, Vulture reports.

Cohen’s skit was to have featured him painted blue, dressed as a female Na’vi, and would conclude with him accusing Cameron of fathering his alien love child. The fear was that Cameron might be so offended, he’d walk out of the Oscars:
