“My Mom’s On Facebook:” Modern Lament + Hair Metal = Viral Music Video

LA-based comedy group Back of the Class has penned a torchy tech anthem for the 18-25 demo with “My Mom’s on Facebook,” a song that explores the confusion, anguish, and ultimate catharsis brought about when Facebook, which “used to be a special place for all [their] college friends / a sanctuary in cyberspace,” opened up to the post-collegiate crowd, including their Moms, who friend them and comment on status updates in the video. As All Facebook notes, though, the gist of it seems to be that they don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
