Deathstroke To Be Playable With Arkham Origins DLC

Since I'm a rational, right-thinking person, it should come as no surprise that the last two Batman games -- Arkham Asylum and Arkham City -- rank among my favorite video game offerings in recent memory. With Rockstar giving up development duties for the series, though, my excitement for Arkham Origins has been tempered. The fact that one of my favorite DCU villains -- the assassin and Dark Knight arch-rival Deathstroke -- will be playable in the upcoming title, could change that. All of a sudden, that teaser vid for the title we were so excited about makes way more sense, so congratulations, Arkham Origins: I am officially psyched for you to come out.

Sweet Moves, Bro: Guy Grabs Mugger’s Shotgun, Chases Him Off With It

If you need a reason not to mug someone -- and lets face it, all of us do at some point -- this might be a good one: You never know when the person you're mugging might become an action movie-grade badass and snatch the firearm from your hands like he's the dang Batman. I mean, 9 out of 10 times, that's not going to be the case. But man, that tenth time, when the person you're mugging snaps into action, takes your shotgun away from you, and then chases you down the street with it? That has to be embarrassing, right?

British Batman Goes Rogue, Is Arrested For Burglary

Feel like some news that doesn't involve a chain of human misery that seems to stretch out past the horizon and into the infinite? Yeah, us too. In the interest of that, Batman got arrested for burglary over the weekend. Well, not the real Batman, but Brit Stan Worby, who you may remember as the cape and cowl clad crusader who in February of this year caused a stir by dropping off a suspected criminal at a police station while dressed in full Dark Knight regalia.

It’s Officially “International Talk Like Batman Day” in Kelowna, British Columbia

A petition on the Internet is usually about as useful to a cause as doing absolutely nothing, but sometimes they can affect real change. That was the case in Kelowna, British Columbia when a local radio station petitioned the Mayor's office to declare today, April 4th, "International Talk Like Batman Day." For some reason the Mayor agreed, and we now live in a world where "International Talk Like Batman Day" is a real thing. It's not the holiday we deserve, but it's the one we need right now.

No, the Vatican’s Twitter Didn’t Get Hacked, They Really Have an Opinion on Batman

Considering the digital confusion that has come out of the Catholic Church in the last few months, you wouldn't be out of line in assuming one of the Vatican's Twitter accounts had been hacked when it tweeted the following yesterday: "Holy switcheroo! Batman has grown bitter, more vengeful with the years." It wasn't a hack, though -- it was something even weirder: proof that yes, the Vatican apparently does have a position on Batman. And it's that they miss the Adam West version of the character, which is a really indefensible opinion to espouse, even for the Catholic church.

British Batman Unmasked, Actual Story Behind The Spectacle Is Of Course Disappointing

Yesterday, we brought you the wonderful, uplifting story of a man dressed as Batman who dropped off a suspected criminal at a police station in Bradford, England. Now that all the facts are in, we can look at things in the cold light of day and tell you the dream-shattering truth -- the Bradford Batman wasn't a masked avenger on the side of justice, after all. Instead, he was just a truck driver who happened to be wearing a Batman costume when he gave a friend a ride to the police station to turn himself in. Which is really closer to an accomplice than it is to a vigilante, when you think about it.

Rumor Mill: Are Nolan and Bale On Board for Justice League? [Video]

We can't overstate just how much this is only a rumor, but it looks like Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale could be diving back into the DC Universe with the upcoming Justice League movie. They've both repeatedly and publicly said they are done with Batman and are moving on, but Latino Review is saying otherwise. Some parts of these rumors are more believable than others, so let's break down the finer details, shall we?

British Batman Drops Suspect Off At Police Station

Police officers in Bradford, England last week got a gift that will be familiar to comic book readers everywhere when a ne'er-do-well was dropped off to be booked at the police station by none other than Batman himself. Early on the morning of February 25, the Caped Crusader -- who looks to have let himself go a little bit of late -- escorted a 27-year-old man into the Bradford police station. The 27-year-old was arrested on charges of fraud and handling stolen goods. Batman, as is his wont, disappeared into the night.

Mexican Priest Channels Superman, Squirts Holy Water With Plastic Gun

There are a lot of different ways to conduct a religious sermon. Sometimes a preacher can even make it fun, exciting, and easy to relate to, but few people would expect a Catholic priest to be one of them. Which is why a lot of people have homed in on Father Alvarez in Mexico, who uses the icons of Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man in his weekly mass for children.

Let’s Put a Smile on That Face: Someone Mashed Up the Nolan and Burton Batman Films

Are they taking nominations for the MacArthur Fellows Program? We only ask because the person who made this series of mashup photos combining the Christopher Nolan and Tim Burton Batman films is a genius of the highest order. Behance.net user Butcher Billy is the one behind this particular set of wonders, and we'd need Joker gas to smile more than we have at their work.

Holy Milestone, Batman! Detective Comics Celebrates 900 Issues This April

Here’s Everything Wrong With The Dark Knight Rises in Just Over Three Minutes [Video]

A select group of fans weren't exactly kind to the odd missteps present in The Dark Knight Rises when the move first released. The Aurora shooting tempered things, of course, but the reality is that Christopher Nolan made some particularly odd choices in the film. A number of complaints revolve around Bane's voice, but the rest of the movie isn't exactly without fault. Thankfully, CinemaSins has gone and counted all the things that were terribly wrong with the movie so we don't have to!

“Gotham High” Would be The Angstiest Comic Book Movie Ever [Video]

Batman Would be Way Less Helpful with Apple Maps [Video]

We're all familiar with Apple Maps, the app that's single-handedly tarnished Apple's sterling reputation. While it may be inconvenient for the average iPhone user, there are some people, who use their phone's GPS for their jobs, who may be really getting screwed over by the inferior service. At the top of the list? No, it's not the ambulance driver or fireman who can't find the quickest route to get to and from emergency sites. It's Batman. Without accurate maps on his phone, Batman simply cannot navigate the streets of Gotham: They're just too damn confusing.
