This week’s Entertainment Weekly boasts a fair feast of images from the production of Captain America: The First Avenger, including a look at Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, some wonderfully art deco scientific instruments, and a shirtless Chris Evans.

The Daily Mail has a bunch of photos nabbed from the filming of a motorcycle chase scene in next summer’s Captain America: The First Avenger. Now, we know what you’re thinking, and don’t you worry your little True Believer head: that’s not Chris Evans, that’s a stunt guy. A few weeks ago, we passed along Heat Vision‘s fairly convincing proclamation that Chris Evans had been offered the role of Captain America in the coming 2011 movie of the same name; now, there’s no longer any need for a question mark at the end of the title.
Today, Marvel has officially confirmed that Chris Evans will be the next Cap.
