A 24-Hour Cupcake ATM
A bakery in Beverly Hills, Sprinkles, has provided the world with something it didn't know it needed until it was presented with it: A 24-hour cupcake ATM. Sprinkles calls it the "world's first cupcake automat," and yes, essentially it is just a cupcake vending machine that never shuts down like a regular vending machine doesn't, but regular vending machines aren't exactly built in a way conducive to a cupcake's structural integrity.

Corona and Blue Moon Cupcakes
If you have always fantasized about a dainty way to pound a brewski, these Corona and Blue Moon cupcakes over on Erica's Sweet Tooth might just be for you. Erica chose Corona and Blue Moon not only because those are the two beers she prefers, but because she wanted to complement the cupcakes with a fruity frosting. Because the flavor of beer doesn't always survive baking, Erica poked holes in the cupcakes and brush some beer over them to make sure they maintained that Corona and Blue Moon essence.

MI6 Hacks Al-Qaeda Website, Replaces Bomb Recipe with Cupcake Recipe
Covert intelligence services aren't particularly well-known for their sense of humor, but UK-based agency MI6 reportedly flashed a bit of the old British wit in a counterterrorism effort aimed at an Al-Qaeda web magazine. MI6 agents replaced a section on how to make a deadly sugar-based pipe bomb with a set of Ellen DeGeneres cupcake recipes.
The code, which had been inserted into the original magazine by the British intelligence hackers, was actually a web page of recipes for “The Best Cupcakes in America” published by the Ellen DeGeneres chat show. Written by Dulcy Israel and produced by Main Street Cupcakes in Hudson, Ohio, it said “the little cupcake is big again” adding: “Self-contained and satisfying, it summons memories of childhood even as it's updated for today’s sweet-toothed hipsters.” It included a recipe for the Mojito Cupcake – “made of white rum cake and draped in vanilla buttercream”- and the Rocky Road Cupcake – “warning: sugar rush ahead!”
Though this particular MI6 hack was humorous, the intelligence communities on both sides of the pond take seriously this particular Al-Qaeda web magazine, which is published by the influential radical preacher Anwar al-Awlaki: A former CIA analyst told the Telegraph that it was "clearly intended for the aspiring jihadist in the US or UK who may be the next Fort Hood murderer or Times Square bomber." Now There Are Push-Pop Cupcakes
An Orange County bakery called Meringue Bakeshop now sells PushCakes, which apply the delivery mechanism of the Push-Pop to the common cupcake. The results, apparently, are tasty:
While the push pop mechanism doesn't change the taste of cake at all, it does make it fun to eat, and if you ate it in front of someone else, it would probably make them jealous. And Kristin Ausk, the baker behind Meringue Bake Shop, makes a mean PushCake: cake layers kept moist between generous, almost mini trifle-esque layers of buttercream. Favorite flavor so far? The strawberry cheesecake, which tastes a little bit like both flavors, all at once, in a good way.

Nomskull Cupcake Molds Will Turn Your Kids Into Adorable Zombies
There may be a new candidate for "Most Adorable Thing With Nom In The Name," a title previously held, undoubtedly, by this Parry Gripp music video, which has the word in it's title not one but seven times! I humbly present to you: Nomskulls (ability to place frosting in a strikingly brain-esque manner not included, but hopefully easy to obtain through practice)!
But what zany niche product would be complete without a product page full of wonderfully terrible puns?

Today in Science: Shooting People in the Face with Cupcakes with a 120psi Cannon
Clothing purveyor and BusinessWeek #1 Young Entrepreneur of 2008 Johnny Cupcakes apparently regularly goes on tour to zealously promote his merchantry: One helpful way to do this, apparently, is to shoot people in the face with a 120psi cupcake cannon and film it all in slow motion.
Vexingly, the camera often cuts away right before the moment of cupcake-on-face impact, but the colors are beautiful and it's a hypnotic vid. It kind of makes you want to buy a t-shirt depicting Looney Tunes® character Yosemite Sam firing cupcakes from his six-shooters while Bugs Bunny prepares to hit him in the back of the head with a rolling pin which is presumably used in the manufacture of cupcakes.

Ten Edible Board Games
We thought you'd never ask!
For some reason, the rectangular shapes and smooth detailing of hobby board games -- especially those slightly abstract yet adorably representative Eurogames -- makes gamers long for the sweet, sweet taste of cake. Delicious cake.
And sometimes, those gamers happen to actually be good at baking! And to produce edible versions of the board games that, while not so arcane and complex as to be unplayable, are still obscure enough that playing them doesn't evoke memories of family Monopoly sessions.
So! Behold! Ten board games, presented in cake form!
