    The Secret World of Punkin Chunkin, Science Channel’s Thanksgiving Special

    Science Channel is airing their annualĀ Punkin Chunkin specialĀ Thanksgiving night at 8:00PM ET. If you're not familiar with it, it's a show about people who build machines that hurl pumpkins as far as possible -- some nearly a mile. It's a fun look at physics and engineering, but we went to event this year and found it was actually a whole lot more.

    Craig Ferguson and his Robot Skeleton: United at Last

    On last night's Late Late Show, Craig Ferguson fans finally got the payoff they've long been waiting for in the form of Geoff Peterson, the robot sidekick that Mythbuster Grant Imahara agreed to build Ferguson if he could amass more than 100,000 Twitter followers. (It happened very, very quickly.)

    Geoff Peterson's robotic powers include laughing at any joke Ferguson tells at the push of a button, shooting off catchphrases, and, well, being a robot skeleton.

    As jocular a pursuit as robot skeleton-building might seem, Imahara took the challenge of building Geoff Peterson quite seriously:

    Mythbuster Grant Imahara will Build Craig Ferguson a “Robot Sidekick,” for 100,000 Twitter Followers [Update]

    Late night host Craig Ferguson is a huge Mythbusters geek: since he joined Twitter last month, a good number of his tweets have been about how terrific Mythbusters is and how he maybe watches too much of the show. Now, Mythbuster Grant Imahara has thrown down the gauntlet: if he gets 100,000 Twitter followers, he will build Craig Ferguson a robot sidekick.
