I'm not much of a Star Trek guy, so I don't have much of an opinion about how the J.J. Abrams Star Trek universe compares to the previous (alternate?) ones. Screen Junkies sure has some opinions, though, and they made this Honest Trailer of Star Trek to give vent to a couple of them. They also made it because a bunch of fans were asking for it on Twitter. It's also pretty hilarious.

I didn't catch Les Misérables in theaters, and now thanks to this new honest trailer of the movie, I no longer regret it. In the spirit of the all-singing all-dancing movie, most of the trailer is sung to the tune of songs from the movie, and it's also longer than it needs to be. Four minutes is a lot to ask from someone watching a trailer, even a fake honest one, but there are enough quality jokes spaced out that you won't feel cheated at the end of it.

I'm willing to admit that there's definitely some strange stuff going on in the latest James Bond film, Skyfall. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that there are a goodly number of oddities. The movie was still grand to watch, if only because Judi Dench is phenomenal. Still, Screen Junkies' latest Honest Trailer for the film is definitely firing on all cylinders and makes a bunch of fair points about Skyfall's overwhelming reliance on convenient plot developments.

Just when you thought our five-year nerd rage over the cinematic garbage that was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was finally beginning to simmer down, the avid film aficionados over at Screen Junkies have to reopen old wounds and throw in the salt with their latest Honest Trailer tearing apart the aforementioned rubbish blockbuster. Pointing out every single flaw -- which is a tad redundant since Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as a whole is a major flaw -- with keen observations that lay down the snark in spades, we're finding it difficult to laugh and control our seething anger at the same time. Damn that cheesy scene of Shia LeBeouf swinging with the monkeys to Hades! Damn it all!

A lot of people really didn't like Prometheus. People have incredibly high expectations for a movie created to uphold and refresh the legacy of one the greatest sci-fi franchises ever made, and it definitely feels flimsy when it you look at closely. How does the film fall apart, you ask? There are a lot of reasons, really, which is why we'll leave it to this Screen Junkies' brutally honest trailer describe everything that's wrong with it.
