The long-term repercussions of these less than pleasant interactions for everyone that uses the Internet are still unclear, but people are certainly wondering about it right now. This infographic paints something of a bleak picture, delving into the development of aggression and the surprising number of teenagers today that experience cyberbullying. Who knows what it means for the future, but it’s certainly a surprising read.

We’ve all been there. Whether it’s to study for an exam, finish a presentation, or push through the final stages of an artistic labor of love, the practice of pulling an all-nighter is an all too familiar one for most. Though we probably all have endured our fair share of marathon midnight oil burning sessions, artist Yumi Sakugawa has put together a useful infographic on the subject. Full of insightful tips and the most practical advice on caffeine consumption I’ve yet seen, it’s a good guide for the next time you have to work through till dawn. Having a strong password – a really strong password — is getting more and more important. Of course, the strongest password in the world won’t save you if it gets stolen from somewhere, but that’s why you shouldn’t recycle them. There are plenty of other handy tips to help you keep your data secure and this infographic from Killer Infographics can clue you in to what they are. Normally, this is where I’d insert an amusing little anecdote about the ways I make my passwords strong, but I have to keep that on the down-low. I don’t want anyone trying to hack into my bank account in order to steal my tens upon tens of hard-earned dollars.

So we’ve seen what Apple looks like when you compare its net worth to the value of various other things, but what happens when you do an in-depth comparison from Apple to apples? This infographic by MBA Online has you covered. Pun aside, it’s actually quite enlightening to see Apple products expressed in terms of actual apples. The iPhone 4S is worth about 20,000 apples, but weighs about the same as one. Interesting right? These are great things for mentioning at dinner parties, over apples maybe. Ever wonder what a composite Android user would look like if you pieced him together from other people based on statistics from the Android-using population at large? Neither have I, but since my Republic Wireless phone (an LG Optimus) arrived yesterday, I am champing at the bit to identify as an Android user, so I find the statistics of this infographic by BlueStacks very interesting, and the picture a nice bonus. Apparently 18% of Android users self-report an “unusually large head,” so I obviously picked the right group to associate with. And ladies, fear not, BlueStacks has a Ms. Android in the pipe as well.

Here we are barrelling towards 2012 and living in the future. We invented the Internet, we invented social media, we invented FarmVille, we probably invented infographics too, right? Wrong. Infographics have been around for a long while, as far back as early last century and probably even further back than that. Painting by Numbers, a new exhibit at London’s Transport Museum, features a whole bunch of infographicy posters all arguing the benefits of public transportation in a decidedly early 1900s style.

This close to year-end, it’s always a good time to go back and look at the x-iest y’s of the year. In this case, it’s the most innovative countries and industries presented in an infographic by Visual News. As with most infographics, one or two things are pretty obvious, but the rest are unexpected. For instance, it’s no huge surprise that the U.S. and Japan top the countries list at 1 and 2, but the fact that France takes the bronze is a little more interesting. Science sure is neat when it is either presented in a way that doesn’t put you to sleep, or is so mind-blowingly interesting that you couldn’t possibly fall asleep. Unfortunately, within the scientific community, scientists may be manipulating their facts and numbers in such a way that molds their findings to whatever they’re trying to prove. This, of course, isn’t science, it’s just misrepresentation. It may be more rampant than you think.

Want to know why people are unfriending you on Facebook? Well, it’s not as easy to tell as it was back when everybody was doing it for the Whoppers. Sometimes you just know, but other times the best you can do is venture a guess, and this infographic from NM Incite can help you narrow it down. Most of the time it’s due to offensive comments, or the fact that you were never real friends with people in the first place. But you can also get cut off for updating too frequently or too infrequently. If it makes you feel any better, “physical attractiveness” and “increasing friend count” rank 4 and 5 on the list of reasons to friend people in the first place, so you’re probably better off with fewer friends in that case. Or, at least, that’s a good thing to tell yourself if you need to sleep at night.
