    New Red Dawn Trailer is for the Wolverines!

    The first theatrical trailer for the long-awaited remake of 80's cult classic Red Dawn was released yesterday... Well, I was waiting for it, anyway. If you've never seen Red Dawn, it's basically the movie that inspired Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, except you replace the U.S. military with a pack of teenagers living in the wild. Feel free to get excited now.

    Andrew Garfield Confirmed as Next Spider-Man

    British-born actor Andrew Garfield has been confirmed to be the next Spider-Man. This quashes those Josh Hutcherson rumors from a few days before, and also means that fan favorite Donald Glover will have to look on.

    Garfield has had a few roles in the past -- he was in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and The Other Boleyn Girl, and he's taken a few turns on UK television. But according to Sony Pictures' press release, he flashed on Sony's and Columbia's radar thanks to his performance in unreleased film The Social Network, of all things:

    Josh Hutcherson: The Next Spider-Man?

    The Latino Review is reporting with some degree of firmness that Josh Hutcherson has been chosen to play Spider-Man in the 2012 franchise reboot. Earlier, a blog called Blue Sky Disney reported that "After several extensive test shoots were performed, Marc Webb and the top Sony $uits decided that Hutcherson was the right fit for the role and an offer was made and has been accepted."

    This in turn prompted a bigger fish, The Latino Review's George Roush, to write that he had known that the 18-year-old Hutcherson would be the next Spider-Man for "some time now."
