    Ominous Music from Vintage Kitchen Equipment

    Once it gets going, this video is both impressive and completely terrifying. Created by German composer Michael Petermann this piece, titled “Blödes Orchester” or "Stupid Orchestra," was created using vintage kitchen equipment he puruchased off eBay. There's an undeniable ominous quality to the piece with its endless whirring, rising in volume and intensity, all set to a marching beat. It's as if to say, "they're coming; they have spinning blades and grinder wheels and they even make julienne fries out of YOU." Jokes about a robot takeover are done to death, but I don't know if I'm going to be comfortable alone with my Cuisanart for a while. (Michael Petermann via Laughing Squid)
