Latest LEGO Movie Trailer Is A Dead-On Balls-Accurate Parody of Man Of Steel

Say what you want about the way the Man of Steel movie eventually turned out (and we know you already have, because you're the Internet), but you can't deny that Hans Zimmer-fueled first trailer was pretty badass. You know what else is badass? LEGO. At least, that's what they want you to think.

The Winter Olympics Will Have a Giant Kryptonian Face Projector, the World Engine Is Working

It seems that Zod's plan to turn Earth into Krypton in Man of Steel wasn't entirely unsuccessful, as this year's Winter Olympics in Sochi will have a building-size version of the pin art face displays used by the Kryptonians. They're calling it MegaFace. Yeah, they pretty much named it after Megatron. Get your references straight, Russia.

The Batman Vs. Superman Movie Might Be Getting A Really Stupid Title, So We Came Up With Stupider Titles

Warner Brothers just registered a whole bunch of... erm, interesting domain names that might give us clues to the title of the next Man of Steel movie. They're very... well, black. Black and also dark and shadowy and black, with some knights and falling thrown in. Gee, think they might be trying to go grittier with this next film?

An Anti-Ben Affleck as Batman Petition? REALLY, GUYS?

Okay, listen, Internet: I get it. Ben Affleck isn't my first choice for Batman, either. But did somebody seriously create a petition that urges Warner Brothers to drop Affleck from the cast of the Man of Steel sequel, and does it really have 13,000 signatures already? Come on. This is why we can't have nice things.

Ben Affleck as Batman? Really, Guys?

Gosh, remember yesterday afternoon, when the only unusual comic book movie casting choice we were worried about was Bradley Cooper playing a talking raccoon? Little did we know what the Man of Steel 2 "World's Finest" (yes I'm deliberately putting that in quotation marks, because I'm using it ironically) would have in store for us!

It’s no real shocker that the internet loves Batman. Between Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, the Arkham games, and recent news that Bruce Wayne will invade Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel, it’s a rare day when Reddit isn’t buzzing over the Bat. Now YouTube Trends has proof that yes, Batman is the internet’s one and only caped crusader.

The Mythbusters Explain How Superman Shaves, Try to One-Up Bill Nye

In 2003 my mother said, "There's this new show you'd probably like. It's got people doing science and explosions to test myths." She was of course talking about Mythbusters, and she was absolutely right about my liking it. I love it when people do science and explosions, and I'm pretty confident most folks that read Geekosystem do too. That's why I jumped at the chance to interview Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage for Gillette's How Does He Shave? campaign.

Honest Trailer Takes Aim at Superman IV, the Movie that Killed a Franchise [Video]

You know how the only reason that Christopher Nolan could get a grittier series of Batman movies made was because folks were dying to forget the ridiculousness that was Batman and Robin? Superman Returns aside, Superman IV: The Quest For Peace is basically the Batman and Robin of the Superman franchise -- it killed the franchise so that a more realistic version could take its place decades later. Luckily, you don't have to actually watch Superman IV to really get how bad it was, because the latest Honest Trailer has done the hard work for you. Even if Man of Steel fails to live up to our expectations, at least it will never be this awful.

Mayim Bialik Wants to Rub Lotion on Superman for Science

Gillette really wants to know how Superman shaves his beard in Man of Steel, and they've turned to some of the best minds in geekdom to figure it out. One of those minds belongs to The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik. She happens to be the only woman they asked about Superman's shaving habits, but she's also the only one who earned her PhD. Take that, gentlemen.

Bill Nye Explains His Superman Shaving Theory, Officially Becomes Friends With Geekosystem

Bill Nye is a national treasure. He's who I'd imagine Superman would actually turn to solve a problem like shaving, so it's a no-brainer to see him included in the Gillette campaign to figure out how the Last Son of Krypton loses his beard in Man of Steel. I had the chance to speak with him about his scientific approach to Kryptonian shaving, and then we became friends.
