Hank Azaria’s Gargamel Spotted in the Wild [Pics]

The Smurfs movie: Not only is it actually a thing, but they're planning to make three of them. We can't say we're too sanguine on this one -- if the Chipmunks movies are any indication, "PG-rated revival of vintage children's classic" is often code for "terrible festival of poop jokes" -- but we're onboard with the talent. Neil Patrick Harris will be the lead live-action character in the movie, and the many-talented Hank Azaria will be warlock and frequent attempted murderer of Smurfs Gargamel.

Dr. Horrible Sequel May Be Horrible … We Mean, a Feature Film

MTV's Splashpage blog has an exclusive clip of Neil Patrick Harris talking about the putative sequel to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. According to Harris, not only is pretty much everyone involved in the first movie interested in doing a sequel, it will also be a feature film.

"That's their plan," he reiterated when asked whether a feature-film was indeed the preferred format for the sequel. "I don't know of what scale. They're talking all options, because they made the first 'Dr. Horrible' in five days on no budget at all — that was its intention. "You don't want to necessarily make the feature film be an $80 million giant movie, because it defeats the purpose of what the first film was made to be," he explained. "Then again, you don't want it to be so low-brow that it's not worth paying money to see as a movie."

Is The Riddler the Villain in Next Batman Movie? We Approve, but Only If It’s Neil Patrick Harris

The Internet is fair bursting at the seams today with unsubstantiated rumors regarding plot details of the next Christopher Nolan Batman movie. It might surprise you to know that we at Geekosystem are geeks. You might be shocked to know that we have opinions. If you consider opinions to be more interesting than rumors that, while they may be true at the moment, are zipping around cyberspace at a time when the screenplay has not even been written yet, then by all means, join us behind the jump. Since the movie doesn't even have a title yet, we'll call it Batman 3. There might, in some universe, be some merit to putting a spoiler warning here. If you would consider yourself to be spoiled by unsubstantiated "fact from the vapor of nuance" regarding information you will be able to pick up from a single glance at the movie's poster, and a healthy dose of speculation and personal wish making, then don't click the link.
