    With such a miniscule job market in these harsh economic times, many people are combating their unemployment rut by founding their own businesses and becoming their own boss. As such, these bold entrepreneurs rely heavily on the small business services offered by companies such as Google. For years, businesses have taken advantage of the basic service packages over premium versions as a cost-cutting measure, but due to the expansive growth of these small businesses and their needs, Google is eliminating their Google Apps basic package entirely, with the premium becoming the standard -- annual payments and all.     Microsoft Launches Beta for Office 365, a Cloud-Based Productivity Suite

    Microsoft announced Office 365, what essentially amounts to their answer to Google's many cloud-based services, like Google Docs. The service will have two subscription models: Office 365 for Small Businesses is best suited for 1 to 25 people at $6 a month, and Office 365 for Enterprises is fully customizable version to better fit a company's needs and will cost anywhere from $2 to $27 per user per month depending on what features the company desires.
