How Pacific Rim Should Have Ended, Now With Bonus Voltrons [Video]

I feel deep in my heart that Pacific Rim is a totally amazing blockbuster movie, but I'll admit that there are a lot of points where you have to willingly suspend your disbelief. Naturally, Youtube animated channel How It Should Have Ended went ahead and poked at those points with a giant robot sword. Several giant robot swords, actually.

Morphinominal! The Green Ranger to Shatter World Record for Breaking Pine Boards While Skydiving

Since retiring from his role as the green-hued leader of the Power Rangers, actor Jason David Frank -- better known as Tommy Oliver on the TV series -- has been a busy, busy man indeed. Aside from instructing others in the ways of karate, busting skulls in the mixed martial arts arena, and pretty much living up to his erstwhile on-camera persona of "karate-chopping bad bay," Frank enjoys attempting to shatter world records just as much as his opponents' ribs in the ring. Later this month, Frank is looking to break the world record for the number of pine boards broken while skydiving. Which is seriously an actual record that exists.

Super Sentai 35th Anniversary Movie Features Fight With All the Rangers

Power Rangers was always pretty silly with a side of incredibly awesome. I remember the heady days of sneaking around to watch it at my friends' houses behind my parents' backs, and now, I suddenly remember that Power Rangers was totally amazing. Apparently, for the 35th anniversary of the franchise, there was a Super Sentai (the Japanese series from which Power Rangers is derived) movie release that features an opening scene with the Power Rangers, all of them, in a fight that is obscenely epic (and also pretty silly). Suddenly, I would really like to play a Power Rangers RTS.

    Prepare to drown in awesomeness.

Next Season, the Japanese Power Rangers Will Be Pirates

This image is the first released shot of the main characters of Japan's next season of Super Sentai, or, as we know it in America, Power Rangers. Your eyes do not deceive you. Those are an assortment of "futuristic" cutlasses and flintlock pistols, and a background of nautical maps. It gets better.

Oh My God It’s A Krang’s Robot Body Hoodie

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were probably the first childhood fad I ever really understood to exist. Before the Power Rangers, before Animorphs, and before POGs, I understood that TMNT was the coolest thing ever. Now I know that if I ever want to look like Krang, it will be less expensive than looking like a Turtle, but more expensive than a half-shell backpack.

The Power Rangers Guy is Thinking of Buying Newsweek

Typically, we are perfectly fine leaving coverage of the question of who will or won't buy Newsweek to our media-obsessed brethren at Mediaite, because let's face it, it's not all that interesting. (Kidding, guys!)

But then, "typically" does not apply when one of the bidders, Haim Saban, made his fortune producing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and composing the soundtrack for the likes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
