Bennett Foddy, Evil Mastermind Behind QWOP, Releases the Unicorn-Based CLOP
Bennett Foddy is something of an evil genius. He's the creator behind your favorite Flash games you love to hate, nearly impossible running simulator QWOP, and its thankfully easier spiritual successor, rock climbing game GIRP. Now, for all those who wanted to torture themselves with yet another extremely difficult Flash game, Foddy has released CLOP, a unicorn runner. Obviously a play on QWOP mixed with the sound a horse hoof makes, CLOP starts off easier than QWOP, but then quickly becomes almost as difficult.

Google’s Olympics Doodle Might Remind You of a Very Frustrating Game, but There’s a Reason for That
Today marks the beginning of the 2012 London Olympics, and naturally the Internet giant Google honored the event with its very own Google Doodle, as is par for the course for just about any day that is slightly noteworthy. The Doodle is cute, using cartoon characters to represent the usual colors of the Google letters, while they're holding most of the letters outright instead of contorting their bodies to mimic the shape of them. However, depending on how embedded you are in Internet or obscure video game culture, you may feel like there's an Easter egg in the Doodle.

There Is Now Multiplayer QWOP
Amusingly, the game the Internet dubbed the most difficult video game of all time, QWOP, now has a multiplayer mode. Appropriately titled 2QWOP, the game pits two QWOPers against one another in a race to see which person can stay upright the longest while attempting to run. The game is just as difficult as the original, and possibly even more so, as the description suggests non-gaming keyboards could have a bit of trouble identifying so much input at once from two people. Way to make QWOP even more difficult! The game is playable for free, so if you want to challenge a friend to see who pulls their hair out the least, head on over and give 2QWOP a try.

QWOP Cosplay is the Best [Video]
The browser-based "hardest game ever," QWOP, is so frustratingly difficult that it became a funny thing on the Internet rather than something that makes gamers throw their keyboards against the wall. The game, where the player controls a track and field runner, isn't difficult in the traditional sense -- stages don't get harder, enemies don't gain more health and power as time goes on, ammo isn't scarce, and there aren't any complex puzzles to solve. The reason why QWOP is difficult is because the controls are so obnoxiously frustrating, yet ridiculously simple (mapped to the titular Q, W, O, and P keys), that it takes a lot of practice to move the runner even ten seconds down the track.
The game has a bit of notoriety amongst gamers and fans of Internet culture, but for some reason, QWOP cosplay never even crossed my mind. I am so, so glad it has now.
