Time To Update That Bathroom Mirror Self Portrait: Rebooted MySpace Is Open To The Public

Hey, everyone, remember MySpace? No? That's OK, neither do we really. Kidding, kidding -- it was like a bus service or something, right? You know what? It doesn't matter, because everything you thought you knew about MySpace is about to change. The long-lost social networking platform released its redesigned site into the wild this week, buoyed (we guess?) by the new single from former teen heartthrob and current MySpace stockholder Justin Timberlake, seen above doing the best Morrissey impression he can muster. Because if there is one thing that is going to get us to offer up all of our personal data again to a social network we haven't thought about in years, it is a Justin Timberlake single.

Robocop’s New Suit Doesn’t Look Like Batman Anymore

A couple of months ago, we were shocked and disturbed when images leaked from the set of the upcoming Robocop remake revealed that the cyborg hero's iconic look had been replaced by a black-plated suit strongly resembling Batman's costume in the Christopher Nolan trilogy. We're now happy to find that new concept art has surfaced, indicating that Robocop will, somewhere down the line, get some silver armor that looks more like the original than a generic "super-suit."

We’re Giving Away Two Sets of ReBoot Season 1 & 2 DVDs

Remember ReBoot? That awesome Saturday morning cartoon show about the world within computers? You know, the one that made history because it was the first half-hour fully computer-animated television series? Remember how it was actually good, even including the horrifying series ending? Well, if you don't remember, or want to brush up on your ReBoot, the fine folks over at Shout! Factory supplied us with two sets of ReBoot Season 1 & 2 DVDs to give away to you, our loyal, obviously attractive readers, but there's a catch: The world of Mainframe was filled with physical manifestations of the bits and bobs within a computer. For instance, Bob is a Guardian, which basically translates to the system's antivirus or maintenance tool. Ray Tracer is a fella who surfed around the Net and the Web on a floating surf board, which translates to a search engine. So, if you want to win a totally alpha numeric ReBoot Season 1 & 2 DVD set, here's what you must do: How to Enter to Win: Create one character or place with a modern day computing staple and tell us how it'd fit into the world of ReBoot. What kind of person would Twitter, Facebook or Photoshop be? Would Foursquare be a villain? Would free-to-play MMOs be a slum? Would memes be fast food chains? Send us a few sentences following the above guidelines, we'll judge using our very advanced system of metrics and submetrics, and hopefully, you'll win! Post your entries on our Facebook page, pray to Phong and hope for the best.

ReBoot to Get ReRelease on ReDVD

ReBoot, everyone's favorite totally obscure Canadian experiment in bringing computer animation to Saturday morning kids programming has had something of a rocky history in home video. VHS tapes were never published in America. Only the third and fourth seasons made it to DVD, the latter of which was plagued by fps issues that caused slower playback and oddly deep voices. Well, last week Rainmaker Entertainment announced that they will be collaborating with Shout! Factory to bring the entire series to DVD, starting with a complete collector's edition.

Today in Video Game Movies: Mortal Kombat… costarring Spawn? (Update: Jeri Ryan Explains)

Video game adaptations have forever been a source of nerdrage from fanboys, but heaven knows they make money no matter how ill-advised. The Mortal Kombat series is no exception. I mean James Remar? Really? But every once and a while you get something that at least looks promising. Without giving too much away, what you'll see below is a 8-minute tease/trailer for... something within the MK universe. And it looks pretty badass. While it's not clear if this is a bona fide reboot of the series or a game-tie or a standalone work unto itself, it's clear that those involved didn't hold back. Update: Jeri Ryan, who plays Sonya Blade in the video, explains via Twitter: "It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film."
