Rumor: Pictures of the iPhone 4G? (Update2: Maybe Real After All)

Engadget has some “photos which made their way into [their] hands” that look a whole lot like an iPhone that no one’s ever seen before. It could, quite possibly, be a prototype or production model for the patiently anticipated iPhone 4G or iPhone HD.

They say the phone was found on the floor of a San Jose bar inside an iPhone 3G case. So, uh, that’s not sketchy at all. If it turns out to be an unannounced next generation iPhone, I hope the story of how it got there is suitably epic.

Rumor: Guy Named Logan is New Spider-Man?

Hitfix‘s anonymous sources are telling it that Logan Lerman, the young star of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, is “almost 100% locked” into the role of Spider-Man in Marc Webb‘s as-yet-untitled franchise reboot.

When Sony Pictures decided to reboot “Spider-Man,” speculation began immediately, and Lerman was one of the early names bandied about. At the time, those conversations were premature, but it appears that the process has brought Sony back around to the young actor, and now he is poised to wear the familiar red-and-blue costume after all.

iPad Rumor of the Day: Smaller 5- and 7-Inch Models Coming Next Year

We know you’re not sick of news from the iPad rumor mill. According to Taiwanese paper Digitimes, Apple is apparently planning to release a 5- to 7-inch iPad designed for consumers who don’t want the full experience of the iPad early next year. The same iPad that was released just last weekend. Quick on their feet, aren’t they?

Rumor: Hugo Weaving is Red Skull?

Veteran chameleon actor Hugo Weaving is reportedly in final talks to play Red Skull in the Captain America movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter:

The dealmaking with Weaving is in a delicate stage that will play out in the next day or so. Agencies grouse that Marvel plays hardball in the negotiating process and also demands multi-movie commitments, though the latter usually applies to actors playing its heroes.
