    5th Graders in Kansas Joyfully Singing Matisyahu [Video]

    If you haven't already heard Matisyahu's song "One Day" then it's probably worth giving it a listen before viewing the above video. If you have (or just went and did so) then you know that the song is a tribute to optimism and love. It promotes the idea that peace is attainable and hatred is only temporary. It only becomes that much more powerful when a 5th grade class in Kansas is caught on video singing the song in class. Granted, this isn't the first time an elementary school chorus has performed the song but it's awesome every single time.

    Today’s Schoolchildren Guess What ’80s and ’90s Technology Does

    Cyberpresse researcher Jean-Christophe Laurence showed a group of modern-day schoolchildren from Quebec various gadgets from the '80s and '90s and asked them to guess what they were for. They're often able to figure out eventually that it's an older form of a tech that they currently know, but Laurence gets some great, creative responses along the way. Of a floppy disk: "this goes into an iPod." Of a ColecoVision game: "a deck of cards." Of an 8-track player: "Oh! I thought it was a bomb!" (Cyberpresse via MeFi)
