Director of Chronicle Josh Trank Signs On to Direct Shadow of the Colossus Movie
Popular Sony video game franchises tend to stay in movie development hell for roughly ever. They're generally the movie version of vaporware; from the Metal Gear Solid movie, to the God of War movie, to the Uncharted movie. Talk of a Shadow of the Colossus movie has been bouncing around the rumorsphere for almost as long as the 2005 game has been released. Now, we're one step closer to seeing what could either be a horrible travesty of film or one of the best movies of all time. Deadline reports that the Shadow of the Colossus movie has found a director, none other than Josh Trank, who happened to direct surprise superpowered hit Chronicle.

Ghost Rider Co-Director Brian Taylor to Write and Direct Live-Action Twisted Metal Movie
Sony Pictures and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance co-director Brian Taylor have reached a preemptive, seven figure deal for Taylor to write a direct a live-action adaptation of Sony's venerable vehicle combat series, Twisted Metal. The most interesting part of this news, aside from fans of the long-running series getting some live-action film treatment, is exactly how in the world Taylor will adapt all of Twisted Metal's very, very dark themes and disturbing imagery into a film people can go see at a movie theater.

Rumor: Guy Named Logan is New Spider-Man?
Hitfix's anonymous sources are telling it that Logan Lerman, the young star of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, is "almost 100% locked" into the role of Spider-Man in Marc Webb's as-yet-untitled franchise reboot.
When Sony Pictures decided to reboot "Spider-Man," speculation began immediately, and Lerman was one of the early names bandied about. At the time, those conversations were premature, but it appears that the process has brought Sony back around to the young actor, and now he is poised to wear the familiar red-and-blue costume after all.
