You Can Listen to the Entire Super Mario Galaxy 2 Soundtrack on YouTube

A newly created YouTube account has been causing quite a stir this weekend. Someone, under the user name MahitoYokota, has uploaded the entire soundtrack of the just-released Super Mario Galaxy 2.

It is unknown, at this point, whether this is the account of the real Mahito Yokota, a co-composer of the soundtrack.

Super Mario Galaxy Meta-Review: It Stands on its Own, and Much More

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released on Sunday (or midnight on Saturday if you’re near Rockefeller Center in New York City and want to wait on line for a bit), but the gaming media has had it for some time now. Well, the NDAs are up, and the reviews are in.  There have been some worries that this Mario game would be superfluous, unnecessary — simply Super Mario Galaxy with more levels. This is the first time Nintendo has released two traditional Mario games on one console in 20 years.

Miyamoto Lets Slip: Pikmin 3 “Well Under Way”

Just before accepting his British Academy of Film and Television Arts Fellowship yesterday, Shigeru Miyamoto was caught mentioning everybody’s favorite onion people by the Official Nintendo Magazine. From their Twitter:

ONM is at the BAFTAs! Miyamoto just told us Pikmin 3 development is “well under way”.

New Zelda Game Confirmed to Release In 2010

Nintendo held its Q1 Media Summit on Wednesday, and, while it announced release dates for Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M, it remained mum on one of its other beloved franchises: Legend of Zelda.

In an interview with Cammie Dunaway, the executive vice president of Nintendo of America, Wired has managed to confirm that a new Legend of Zelda will be coming out this year, thus completing a powerful three sided something-or-other of gaming bliss.

Hmm. There’s something else Zelda-related that’s triangular, isn’t there? Arg. We just can’t remember.

Anyway, Wired’s Chris Kholer admits that he owes somebody a steak dinner.
