Neil Gaiman’s Sandman Could Become a TV Show

First: Sit down. Next: According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision, Neil Gaiman’s Sandman is once again being considered for television adaptation, this time by Warner Bros. TV.

The show’s development into a TV series is still in its “early stages”; the biggest impediment right now is that Warner is still “in the midst of acquiring television rights” for the show from DC Entertainment – a process which may be made easier considering that DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Entertainment — and Warner is “in talks with several writer-producers about adapting the 1990s comic.”

Today in Unexpected Anime Adaptations: The CW’s Supernatural

Here are the three things I know about Supernatural: There are two brothers who have some supernatural powers and have to fight some bad guys who also have supernatural powers, Mark Pellegrino, who played Jacob on LOST, plays Lucifer on Supernatural, and some people are obsessed beyond belief with this show. It’s the biggest phenomenon show The CW has had in recent memory, possibly ever. It is, basically, a more fangirl-oriented LOST in that regard.

Here’s the fourth thing I learned today: There will soon be a full anime series adapted from the CW hit.

Supernatural Season 6: It’s On

Oddly named television network The CW has officially renewed Supernatural for a sixth season, the Chicago Tribune reports. The show’s main storyline, which involved the usual battery of supernatural creatures in the early seasons and (spoiler alert) battling Satan and trying to thwart the Apocalypse in season five — which is currently wrapping up — but Season Six promises to take Supernatural in new and as-yet-unreported directions.
