Stay in the House, Carl: The Walking Dead Monopoly and Risk Coming Soon
We as consumers like to think that we get what we ask for -- like it's the "demand" part of supply and demand -- but sometimes maybe we shouldn't. Apparently, we asked for The Walking Dead versions of both Risk and Monopoly, because that's what USAopoly and Skybound are sending our way.

Man Has The Walking Dead’s Daryl Dixon Shaved Into His Hair, Because Sure, Why Not
People throughout history have come up with any number of ways to celebrate things they like. From pieces of art to questionable songs, people enjoy creating stuff that shows just how big of a fan they are. It's not uncommon for folks to somehow showcase their devotion on their body, and tattoos are a popular choice. Another option is shaving the likeness of your favorite character into your hair. That's how far one The Walking Dead fan went, and it involved everyone's favorite motorcycle-riding, crossbow-wielding zombie killer, Daryl Dixon.

Watch The Trailer For The BBC’s High Concept Zombie Drama In The Flesh [Video]
First there was The Office, then Being Human, then Sherlock, and with each successful BBC series, the Americans had to have their own version. But sometimes, like the dead rising from the grave, a long-established pattern goes in reverse. This time, the BBC is taking a cue from the success of AMC's The Walking Dead and trying their blood-spattered hands at a zombie-based television series. Called In the Flesh, it airs on March 17th on BBC Three. Far from an adaptation, though, In The Flesh offers a strange new take on the traditional zombie tale, turning it into a ruminative story of loss, guilt, and redemption -- though personally, we're hoping for a few cracked skulls, too.

Gut Check: The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead has proven to be a massive crossover hit. Not only have the comics and television show been successful, the video game from Telltale Games has also received its fair share of critical praise. The downloadable episodic game even managed to grab Game of the Year at Spike's Video Game Awards this year. The PC version of the game's been out for a bit, but Justin and Rollin decided to give it a go since the console version released not too long ago. Did it deserve to win Game of the Year? Watch the two of them run from the undead, and go with your gut feeling.

Man Ends The Walking Dead Disagreement by Shooting His Girlfriend in the Back
Look, not every single person running in your nerd circle -- as close as your relationships may be -- is going to see eye-to-eye with your beliefs or opinions, such is a little thing called life. Even if you're prone to getting a little hot under the collar as the result of such petty disagreements, there's nerd rage, and then there's callously shooting your girlfriend in the back. 26-year-old The Walking Dead enthusiast Jared Gurman, after having argued with his girlfriend over the possibility of a zombie apocalypse, believed that a bullet to her back would help her see clarity. Obviously, what ultimately happened was far from what he intended.

Dish Network Buries the Hatchet With Voom HD, Now Folks Can Return to Watching The Walking Dead
Unfortunately for everyone caught in the crossfire, Dish Network and AMC have been duking it out over what the former referred to as a distribution problem and the latter said was a legal dispute with Voom HD. See, Dish Network dropped the Voom HD channels back in 2008, which led to them disappearing altogether, and litigation has been ongoing since. AMC Networks, which operates the aptly-named AMC, once operated those Voom HD channels. After much deliberation, and a payout to the tune of $700 million, Dish customers will once more be able to watch The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead Is The Worst Show Ever That I Can’t Stop Watching
Every Sunday night at 9:00 PM I turn on AMC. From 9:01 PM to 9:03 PM, I watch the opening scene of The Walking Dead. It's usually fantastic. The producers know they have a tight window in which to film a scene and start the opening credits. The producers also know that they have to hook you at this point, so they give you what you came for: Zombies. Brains. People in cars stabbing zombies in the eye with screwdrivers because zombies want their brains.Read on... -

10 Terrifying Doors You Really Don’t Want to Open
Static objects are fairly good at being ominous: A humanoid figure too far off in the distance to have any discernible features, or a lone gun sitting on a dresser. They're ominous because of the details the imagination fills in. Why is that humanoid just standing around all the way over there? Why do you have that gun sitting on the dresser in plain sight? For the details the imagination fills in, a door provides the biggest lack thereof, and thus provides a stomping ground for the most twisted, evil machinations your imagination can conjure. On top of that, they could be the portal to something even more terrifying and sinister than you could've thought, and after the break, we whipped up a list of the ten most terrifying doors in geekdom that are better left closed.

Good Television That Is Being Threatened From the Inside
Every year, there are a dozen or so shows on television that are cancelled or never make it to the point where they are even given the green light to begin. It’s more often that pilots are picked up and dumped after a few episodes than just about anything else. It is just the nature of the game. Less frequently, an already established show teeters on the edge for one reason or another. Something has gone wrong and the show nears the brink for a combination of reasons, but typically with one main driving force behind them. It is unusual for more than a handful of shows to be so close to the abyss. Now, that’s not to say that all of these shows will be cancelled, but merely that there are a number of factors in play that could significantly threaten them. We at Geekosystem present, a list of good television shows that are threatened by their own decisions.Read on... -

Fan-made Opening Credits for The Walking Dead, Probably Better than Real Ones
THE WALKING DEAD "Opening Titles" from Daniel Kanemoto on Vimeo. Fans everywhere are fairly excited for AMC's upcoming The Waking Dead series, a television adaptation of a well-respected zombie apocalypse comic written by Robert Kirkman, premiering October 31st of this year. One fan in particular, Daniel Kanemoto, was excited enough to make extremely moody opening credits to the show that will most likely rival AMC's version of the opening credits.
