No doubt you’ve seen one of the best Super Bowl ads from last night, which went viral days before game day: the Darth Vader Volkswagen spot. Well, this morning on NBC’s Today Show, he revealed himself to be none other than 6-year old Max Page! And doesn’t he remind you of a certain young Jedi? Judge for yourself after the jump.
Ted Williams, the homeless man with the golden-age radio voice, has enjoyed a remarkable ascent: On Tuesday, a video of him demonstrating his talent by a highway exit exploded across the Internet, racking up more than 4 million YouTube views in 24 hours; on Wednesday, he excitedly revealed that he was being pursued by the Cleveland Cavaliers for an announcer gig, and that they’d offered him a house to live in; today, Williams finds himself on The Today Show.
The interview is long, but worth watching. Williams shares more about his past and the religious faith that he says brought him out of his decline intro drug use and alcoholism, makes the Cleveland joke everyone was afraid to make (“they said they’re going to give me LeBron’s old house”), and reveals that Kraft asked him to audition to be the voice announcing their macaroni and cheese.
We’ve seen the Super Bowl commercial and the nifty interactive website, but today brings us our first on-the-ground look at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Harry Potter theme park estimated to open on or around May 28th.
Cool shots of rides were notably absent onĀ The Today Show special, but correspondent Kerry Sanders donned his Gryffindor scarf and gave viewers enough footage of the Hogwarts Express and various wizarding shops to sate them for a spell.
Given beer's pervasive place in human history, it's not surprising that the geeky pastimes of drinkers would eventually rub off on the beers themselves. The result is a veritable cornucopia of nerdy beers, 14 of which are right here.

The halftime show taught me that football-watching men drinking beer who love seeing muscular men beat each other up really like to vogue.
