This video called “Motion Feel” by artist Shinji Inamoto isn’t just a bunch of objects undergoing a series of bizarre transformations. Ok, maybe that is all there is, but it’s also a mind-bending visual and auditory treat, with a touch of horrific lurking around the edges. It’s weird, it’s wonderful, you should watch it.

Proving that you can make anything interesting by time lapsing it and slapping some cliche dramatic music on top, Matthew Hoyos’ video of a tortoise eating fruits and veggies is a real treat. At this speed, that tortoise is a terrifying eating machine with a vegetarian diet. As fun as the video is, I ache to know how long it took the tortoise to get through his meal in regular time.

For those of us observing at a distance, the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan last year seemed like a singular, horrible event. However, this visualization created by StoryMonoroch shows that it was, rather, a shocking surge in geologic activity. Using red circles and sound effects to indicate the magnitude and depth of each earthquake, this video is a sobering reminder of the powerful forces at work on our planet. You’ve never seen a dog park like this before. No, I don’t mean with all the slow-motion editing and glorious HD; I mean from the perspective of your canine pals. This video, by Kelsey Wynns features his 9-month old Great Dane Bishop and his friends. Sure, it makes the rough-housing look a bit rougher, but the sheer joy of the dogs is downright palpable.

Sometimes, you meet a man in the middle of the road. He gives you a beard. And the nightmare begins.

Back in January of last year, Hudson Urban Bicycles proposed a bold experiment: Leave a locked-up bike on the streets of New York’s SoHo neighborhood and take a photograph of it every day. Like the crumbling of a mountain side from eons of erosion, the bike vanished bit by bit as it was stripped of its parts. It takes nearly six months before the first act of larceny occurs — the theft of the bike’s water bottle — and it’s all downhill from there. By day 270, the bike is completely gone.

Sure, we have a veritable library of posts explaining what’s wrong with SOPA and PIPA, what’s wrong with the way they’re being approached, what’s wrong with the current copyright law they’re building on, and anything else you might want to know. But what if you don’t like reading words? Well, here’s a video that sums up the big, important points. Knowledge is power, and knowing is half the battle, right? So get battlin’ folks.

Alright, I am perfectly willing to concede that this crow isn’t actually snowboarding. I accept that it’s much more likely that it is simply trying to eat something out of the cap it’s riding on. However, that doesn’t explain why the bird keeps taking the cap to the apex of the roof, why it seems to stop pecking once it starts moving, or how the crow seems pretty cheesed when the ride ends. The evidence is against it, but in my heart I know that this bird is kicking sweet moves on fresh powder.

For some, simply shaking hands in greeting can be an ordeal. Is he going for the fist-bump? The wrist-grip? The bro-grab? Guess wrong and the entire handshake is destroyed, along with your social life. But it’s ok, you don’t need to suffer alone anymore. 

It seems that brothers Jack and Dan somehow struck a bargain. Dan, who for reasons unknown had $125 in cash sitting around, would throw a pile of money up in the air and Jack could keep whatever he caught. Dan likely assumed that he would probably be out a few bucks, and that Jack would be happy. This turned out to be only half true, as Jack wound up very happy.
