Man Invites Virtual Girlfriend to Wedding, Which Goes Over Poorly With Real-Life Bride
When a Japanese couple decided to tie the knot recently, they wanted everyone who was important in their life to be on hand to share in their joyous day. One catch -- for the groom, those important people included NeNe Anegasaki, his virtual girlfriend in the Nintendo DS dating sim Love Plus. The perfectly charming piece of software even had a place set for her at the wedding, so that everyone on hand could meet her. If that seems like an idea that can pretty much only end badly, congratulations, because you are a person with common sense.Read on... -

This is a Minecraft Wedding, Complete With Minecraft Jones Sodas
Not content with a regular, fancy wedding, possibly outside somewhere in the rolling English countryside, Matt and Asia went for a Minecraft wedding instead. The couple met through their church -- Matt says he fell for Asia while watching her dance -- but they bonded while playing everyone's favorite blocky build 'em up. At MineCon, Matt proposed to Asia, so it's only fitting that the couple have a Minecraft wedding, complete with loaned props from MineCon, as well as Minecraft Jones Soda. Check out pictures of their pixelated wedding after the break.

Best Wedding Ever: Batman Marries Wonder Woman
The relationship between Batman and Wonder Woman was never consummated on the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series, but this is even better: This week in Devon, England, fanboy Neil, 46, and fangirl Sharon, 40, tied the knot dressed as the Dark Knight and the Amazon Princess, The Sun reports.

Artist Luke Jerram has made a clever, sweet wedding ring that we guarantee you'll see more of on the Internet for some time: A ring that doubles as a miniature projector. The ring contains a series of slides of the lucky couple, which can be viewed from the side or projected in a darkened room using a light source like a candle or LED.

Couple Turns Wedding into iPad-Centric Gimmick [Video]
Inevitable? Maybe, but that doesn't keep it from being a little sad: A recently married couple had their wedding conducted via iPad. As you can see in the still above and in the video below, the officiant is even fiddling with it when they kiss after taking their vows. What's more, in the middle of the ceremony, the groom whips out his iPhone to Tweet and update his Facebook status.
We get that you like Apple products, but come on, guys! We're all for creative wedding invitations, but give the ceremony itself a little dignity; 20 years down the road, it will probably not impress too many people to be able to say that your wedding 'went viral.'

8-Bit Wedding Invitation Unlocks “Geekiest Possible Wedding Invite” Achievement
We've seen 8-bit wedding invitations in the past, but this takes the concept to a new level -- well, actually, two new levels, if you include the boss stage. German couple Darina Goldin and Niko Losse invited their guests to their wedding with an 8-bit, playable wedding invitation, in the styles of Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong.
A bonus: in a blow back against most 8-bit games' patriarchalism, you can rescue the groom with the bride.

Couple Gets Married in Apple Store
Getting hitched? There is not an app for that. But with a little help from a Genius, you can apparently get through the process almost painlessly. On Valentines day Josh and Ting Li said their vows (I refuse to make an iDo joke here. Absolutely refuse), priest, photographer, and all; in the 5th Avenue Apple store in New York City.
According to Li, the wedding wasn't authorized or approved by Apple, but the staff of the store did not interfere.
