Alex is a 9-year-old boy from Tanzania and a big fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger: In the video above, which was produced by Africa-focused NGO Mama Hope in collaboration with Whirled, he recaps the plot to Commando, with his narration helpfully intercut with footage from the movie.
Mama Hope explains what this is all about:
We loved that when he learned we were from California, he immediately started talking about our Governor, former action movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then he launched into a 15 minute play-by-play recap of the entire plot of Schwarzenegger’s 1985 cult classic “Commando”. How could we not share this amazing footage with you?
The second reason is because we started thinking about the 9 year olds we knew and it was all too clear that even continents apart, they had the same essential qualities we love: imagination, creativity, and hilarity. We realize, that this is a message we want to share… Enjoy our 1st video.
