Gut Check: The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead has proven to be a massive crossover hit. Not only have the comics and television show been successful, the video game from Telltale Games has also received its fair share of critical praise. The downloadable episodic game even managed to grab Game of the Year at Spike’s Video Game Awards this year. The PC version of the game’s been out for a bit, but Justin and Rollin decided to give it a go since the console version released not too long ago. Did it deserve to win Game of the Year? Watch the two of them run from the undead, and go with your gut feeling.

I actually really like what they did with The Walking Dead game, it feels like I’m playing one of those chose your own adventure game books. It’s a much better then Jurassic Park, which felt like just a chain of quicktime events slapped together with some puzzles.

I recently picked this game back up after having an issue regarding my save file somehow “resetting” itself after hours of play… This game, is easily one of the best games I have ever played in my life, from Atari on. Last night there was a scene where one of the members of my group was very suddenly murdered and I put had my hand over my mouth and said “WHAT THE FUCK!?”

Much better than the Tv series imo. I think the TV show’s acting is poor, the games acting is amazing. The acting is a lot more authentic during emotional scenes.

My only complaint was the lead dude trips over everything.
