Apple Trademarks Phrase “There’s an App for That”

Apple has been awarded a trademark for the phrase “there’s an app for that,” which you’ve likely heard (read: been beaten over the head with) in connection with the iPhone and iPad and the App Store that’s powered their success. Apple applied for the trademark on December 4, 2009.
Here’s what the trademark covers:
Retail store services featuring computer software provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; retail store services featuring computer software for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics.
