The Full-Length Toy Story 3 Trailer Is Here

Eleven years after Toy Story 2, Disney/Pixar hopes to get a whole new generation revved up for Toy Story 3, the new, official full-length trailer for which was just released.

The Toy Story franchise isn’t quite a distant memory, and both Toy Story (which came out in 1995) and Toy Story 2 were box office smashes: they grossed $361 million and $485 million, respectively. But being a  children’s movie, Toy Story 3 faces the unusual challenge that a good chunk of its audience hadn’t yet been born when the first two movies came out. At that: nostalgia factor for a lot of the series’ original fans. The new movie comes out on June 18th.

I don’t know how much of a hindrance the age of the films make. I’ve got a ten year old and a five year old. Both Toy Story movies are not only part of our video collection (bought after the kids were born), but my oldest has probably watched them fifty times and my youngest almost half that much.

And, they’ve both been itching for this new film to be released, which means that I just emailed them the trailer.

    Thanks
