The Truth About Graduate School [Infographic]

Getting a PhD is a long difficult journey for all those who attempt to head down the road of academia. The pitfalls of graduate school can sometimes be humorous as George Cham’s PhD Comics, and upcoming movie are quick to point out. But there is a serious side to deciding to go to Grad School, driven by the cold hard facts about what your degree will get you, provided you even get your degree.

    Where does the idea that Ph.D.s are supposed to be four-year programs come from?  I don’t think that is true even in the sciences.

    I guess I have to be a little skeptical of an infographic created by OnlinePhDPrograms.net, which lists the University of Phoenix as a top-ranked academic institution…
