Couple Takes Touching Engagement Photos Inspired by Pixar’s Up

Chances are you’ve seen Up. How could you not, right? Seeing as Disney/Pixar has a way with winning hearts and Academy Awards. So, if my guess is right, then I’m sure you’re quite familiar with the story of Carl and Ellie. A pair who fell completely in love as they grew up together. Who married and grew old together. And in a testament to the power of the moving image (and the composing ability of one Michael Giacchino), we watch them walk through life together. As simply as the clouds rolling by, but with the color and brightness of every one of Carl’s balloons brought to life.

So, when the newly engaged James and Lynnette decided to do an engagement photo shoot, they wanted the same thing. A bit geeky, yes, but no less touching.

For comparison, a scene from the original Up:

James writes:

“Lynnette… I have a confession, I am in love with you.  It is not the ‘usual’ love, but the love that makes me remember the little things, the ‘boring’ things.  It is the boring things in life that I will remember the most.  The memories of jumping over sidewalk cracks to how the clouds talk to us.  You make me remember the moments.  It is that love that makes me believe.  Belief that I was there when you were a toothless kid.  Dancing through life, only stopping to hold my hand. Letting me know that anything is possible.  I am in love with you, ‘my greatest adventure’.

Courtesy of Wildflowers Photography, below you will find some of the photos the couple took in celebration of their favorite movie and love for one another. Best of luck to them both! Ellie would be proud.
