Map of the U.S. by Video Game Spending [Infographic]

I probably spend more on video games than the “average” person, and if you read this site, there’s a good chance you do too; it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure that one out. Let’s say you want to figure out whether or not your neighbors are big spenders too. Well, this map by Bundle can give you a pretty good idea of whether or not your city buys a lot of games.

If you’re the kind of person who knows a lot about studio location and such, some of this might not come as a surprise to you, but it’s still interesting to see there are pockets of big spenders in places like the barren wastes of western New York. Now this map uses sales data from Gamestop, Steam and EB Games, so it’s probably not completely accurate since it leaves out XBLA, PSN, and most importantly, Amazon purchases. But still, it gives you a general idea.
