Venture Bros. Season 5 Announced + Annual Venture Christmas Song Released! It’s a Christmas Miracle!

Adult Swim geek opus The Venture Bros. is coming back for a fifth season! Christopher McCulloch, otherwise known as Jackson Publick, gave Venture fans the best Christmas present of all last night on his blog:

P.S. One last Christmas gift: I promised “news” the last time I was here. And though I’m not at liberty to disclose the full details just yet, I am happy to at least be able to tell you that we were not lying in the end credits of our season finale: The Venture Bros. will indeed return. More on that later… Happy Holidays!

To go along with this wonderful news, the Venture team released their annual Christmas song, “Fan Club Christmas Album 2010,” performed by Hank and Dermott’s (awful-but-hilarious) band, Shallow Gravy.

Fans of the show (including myself) who watched last season’s season finale were a little worried about the show’s future, due to the out-of-the-ordinary double-length episode, coupled with said episode having the feel of a series finale. Luckily for us, the show will go on.

Who else is excited to see how 21 handles his new disposition in life? Will he go back to being Gary?!

    That’s good to hear! I hope Hank gets a job with Sphinx! and teams up with Shoreleave and Brock. The show is wicked fun, I hope they go another 10 seasons.

    That was an amazing season, loved every episode, and to hear a 5th season is on it’s way. I am really geeking out. Please tho, no split seasons. those are brutal on any show. Thanks again Jackson & Doc.

    Ahhh! Venture brothers! Show is awesome, 10 seasons? TEN THOUSAND *”What? HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE! -50pts”*. Cannot wait for season 5. I am dealing with every nervous tick know to man all the time exited! I am so excited, I WET MYSELF! (“Wetness.”) Disappointment of cancelation would lead to brain combustion. *Pow* Dig it.

    Forgive me, I was once a sports announcer and now announce events at an elderly center. DANCE SESSIONS!… I no longer work at the elderly center. There are not many places people appreciate great levels of enthusiasm. The grocery store, fancy restaurants, church, parent teacher meetings, the bedroom. I’VE ACHIEVED AN ERECTION!

    The venture bros is hands down the best animated show. I will forever be a fan. Seen every episode at least 8 times and will watch them probably another 50 times each before I die. You guys rock so hard.

    we love the venture bros. Me and my husband and our 10 year old and 7 year old sons quote everyone on there all the time. We are always playing “cows on my side” when we go somewhere. There are just so many awesome quote in all the seasons. I vote with everyone else….atleast 10 more seasons….oh yeah we need some more back story on the monarch and some more of the stuff they did in their old college days. I could go on but that would not be very batman like, not batman like at all.

    Dean, a supervillain? This is a guy who refused to tell Dr. Venture that the Monarch had SEX with his new robot, because the Monarch TOLD HIM TO TELL DR. VENTURE!

    He also beat up H.E.L.P.R. because he thought it was “phantom spaceman,’ etc.

    Remember Dr. Killinger tried to turn Doc Venture into a supervillain too— and he’s about as discouraged, jealous and disappointed as one can get.

    Even Jonas Venture Jr. turned from villain to hero, so it’ s clear that Ventures don’t turn evil.

    So does anyone have any ideas for the revenge society?!  I think that the bear that tried to get in was Bud Manstrong, and that the next best person for the society will be….Zero!!! they never showed him dying again, just like the first episode he was in.

    I watch a lot of Venture Bros. so I have a ton a theories! What if Dean does go “bad” just to get with Triana, and she falls for him!?!?!  That would leave Trevor( her current Bo), who only made an appearance in season 4 finale, pissed and wanting revenge. He would be the perfect candidate for the revenge society, Limb could use his limb rejuvenating machine on him and turn him bad!

    Venture Bros. is the best cartoon out PERUID.  Adult Swim has gone downhill and is garbage, the only lower step they can take (and sadly probably will) is showing the Cleveland Show (it is just a matter of time). Adult Swim consists mainly of things that can be seen on 3 other channels (at the same time) or purchased on Netflix (anytime) WITHOUT the clever bumps.

    Venture Bros. is one of the only shows that actually keeps [AS] relevant, whether they know it or not. It will be fully realized when NOBODY CARES about watching their extendedly-advertised toons very soon.

    Seriously, for those who didn’t know, [AS] was dope just to put on and groove to the [UNPAID] instrumental jazz/hiphop spots they used used to put on. Might as well watch TBS late night nowadays, same amount of FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD that can be seen everywhere else, and that is of increasingly LOWER AND LOWER QUALITY.

    If Venture Bros. takes more than 3 months to come out, I UNDERSTAND.

    Just give us a time frame, because most other animation is so subpar, with no history/mythology/relevance to any future show…who cares about other cartoons? 

    That is why V Bros. wins, because it is consistent and rewards rewatching, and I’d pay top dollar to see the new season (although I am sick of waiting).

    DO NOT INSULT FANS BY OFFERING 45 BUCK LUNCH BOXES…THERE IS A RECESSION GOING ON…I’D PAY $200 IF I could do it without skipping out on my child support and “church tithes.” Truth is, both are costing as much as a crack habit in ignant town.

    i am soooooooooo excited for the new season to come out!!! but i really hope that general treister ends up landing on gargantua 2 or something coz i dont think ill be able to live if he isnt in season 5. everything that man says is HILARIOUS!!!!! Best character in my opinion! :D

    with all the crappy-ass live action shows taking over on [as], i’m glad to hear one of my fav toons is comin back (heard renewed for 2 seasons on another site). climbing the walls waiting for the premiere!!
    couple things i’d like to see: Gary/21 (cuz we Brock wouldn’t) start secretly training Hank for OSI/Sphinx membership, and of course, 24 ALIVE DAMMIT!! either fron an alternate dimension where 21 was the one who died,  and 24′s life mirrored our 21′s, or just as another Sphinx agent who thought 21 had died and joined up them.

    a couple things i wonder about when i watch the show(does anyone else ponder these?); in the episode where Brock & the boys are shrunk down & injected into Dr. V, they find a sub w/clone corpses & Brock says “so that’s what happened to the sevens”, so what number are they on now?
    and what does the real David Bowie think of being Sovereign (essentially head of all bad guys)?

    I just hope that we find out what happened to 24! I remember seeing the bomb detonator in the Monarchs throne when everyone was outside.. Fishy fishy! Eye4AnEye must go on! 

    Also guys please rob banks sell sperm, get Hank Co. up and running, do what ever you have to to keep dishing out your show. Venture Bros is so intelligently clever and ridiculously funny, every person I’ve introduced it to has been hooked, as am I. 

    Long live the Monarch! Dude Dr. Venture and the Monarch are totally siblings I just know it! I mean you never find out much about his parents except the plane crash, who knows maybe the original Dr. Venture knocked up his mom at a swingers party.. I just can’t wait to see what happens next!

    I wish the show had more exposure, maybe licensed to Comedy Central or Fox, just so that It would become so popular that they would have to do a movie! ;)   

    I think we need more hot villainesses, how about that friend of Triana’s who took a card from Dr. Girlfriend?  or bring Molotov back as a half cyborg now that she took the plunge!

    I can’t help but  wonder what happens if the Shallow Gravy Documentary turns out to be cannon via some gift from Jonas Venture Jr. or something and 21 one catches the part where the Monarch admits to placing that bomb in H.E.L.P.E.R…………also can’t wait to catch the new seasons, greatest thing I have ever come across!!

    I had a dream today regarding Doc Hammer, deciding if he’d wanted to Spinoff “The Monarch” from the hit show: Team Venture… odd .. anywho dream went like this:

    They were trying to replace Monarch with a glasses-wearing, catipillar-shaped guy but it didn’t work out so Doc booted him out! Then the two popular henchmens were asking me if I could get Monarch back so I ran into The Monarch and his girlfriend. Monarch said to me “They fire me?! How dare! We’ll see how long that show lasts while I’m watching those ratings plummet right into the toilet.” I asked him and his girlfriend to come back to the show while Doc was looking for a replacement and he did.

    So I went back and told all the henchmen and they cheered, then waited on the Monarch while Doc, and these two half-man/half-dog-like guys (one was talking to the henchmen, other was looking out secret-service style for Doc) walked in the place where the henchmen were. Doc didn’t look a bit happy about this decision and decided to go on with my advice anyway… (strange, who am I to him, anyways??)

    not here to waste eyetime, seriously.
