I Have No Idea What Volkswagen is Trying to Sell Me in Their Star Wars Dogs Ad [Video]

I do like dogs, and I do like Star Wars but I still don’t know what popular German car manufacturer Volkswagen is going for in this new ad. It’s no doubt related to last year’s young Darth Vader ad, but how? Also, is it just me or is a teaser for a Super Bowl ad just a little strange? Whatever. It’s got cute dogs.

    This will be a wild speculation, but if you watch National Geographic’s ‘Apocolypse; Rise of Hitler’ you will notice that Adolf is very similar to senator Palpatine in Star Wars. The entire SW noval is similar to the start of WW2. Volkswagen was a Nazi product, and both adds promote the dark side. Might be worth thinking over.

    lol…..that’s because you and the writer of this article aren’t fans of  VW.

    VW had a previous ad with a boy dressed up as Vader, who was trying to use the “force” on stationary objects but failed (a dog was in the ad). The boy succeeded in using the force on a VW car with the help of his dad. This ad is a nod to the previous one.

    It’s the march theme from “Star Wars” that John Williams stole from Dimitri Shostakovich.

    It’s the Imperial March.. from Star Wars (which is why you see Chewy, Darth Vader, an At-At and more)

    In the Star Wars soundtrack, the song is called Imperial March – Darth Vader’s theme. It’s the marchy theme that you hear whenever Vader and his minions are on the warpath.

    the advertising message is:     they are releasing one of their vehicles and they did a remake of one of john william’s star wars songs  with the great dogs

    turn up your volume and open up your mind.  the grey hound is one of those big machines that walked across the desert and the small pup on the bottom right is a wookie
