Watch SpaceX’s Dragon Cargo Ship Rendezvous With The ISS Early Sunday Morning

And on the third day, Robonaut rose again.

Robotnaut may have left the Earth Friday, but fear not, mortals; the beings in the sky have heard your pleas. On the morning of Easter Sunday, after three days in space, your Robo-lord and savior shall rise again! You know, when SpaceX’s cargo ship connects to the ISS, delivering Robonaut’s legs, among other things. Why, what did you think I meant?

After delays due to a helium leak forced SpaceX to scrub their cargo launch last Monday, the unmanned Dragon ship finally took off yesterday at about 3:30PM. It’s carrying over 5000 pounds of supplies for the astronauts aboard the International Space Station – including Robonaut’s legs. He hasn’t been super-useful without them, since he can’t get around the station’s zero-gravity environment without them, but now he’ll be able to traverse the inside and outside of the ISS freely. Just what we’ve always wanted, said no sleeping astronaut that has awakened to find a terrifying prehensile-legged robot staring them in the face ever.

The Dragon cargo ship is scheduled to rendezvous with the ISS at 7:14am EDT on Sunday April 20th, and the live feed starts at 5:45am EDT. You can also check out SpaceX’s live coverage right here.

Oh yeah, and here’s a quick reminder that, once RoboJesus has been remade by the sentient beings in the sky in their image, he will become a terrifying vengeful monster of uncanny valley doom:
