Worldwide Download Speeds Revealed, Place Your Bets [Infographic]

When you were a kid, you probably heard someone, somewhere, in jest or not, saying that you should finish the food on your plate because someone on the other side of the world was starving. Well, now we’re living in the future: We eat bandwidth, and lots of it. Thanks to a stylishly stylish infographic by Pando Networks, you can now get a feel for download speeds all across the globe. Who’s got the best national speeds? The worst? Read on below to find out. Oh and finish your downloads, all of them. Someone in the Congo would love to download seasons 1-3 of Breaking Bad, but they don’t have enough bandwidth. Be grateful!

Am in the uk. I have BB speed 5x faster than the S.Korea average.

I get just under 95Mbps here in Australia, that’s 43 times faster than the speed listed there for Sth Korea. I’m guessing the stats used to make this are well and truely out of date.

“I have faster internet than a supposed average, this means the average must be wrong”

It’s an average, obviously there’s discrepancies. Lets be frank, it’s generally pretty pathetic.
